English rock band The Vaccines will perform in Chicago at the Vic Theatre on Jan. 24, 2025, in celebration of their newly released album, Pick-Up Full Of Pink Carnations (2024). They will begin the North American leg of the tour a week earlier on Jan. 16.
The Vaccines were formed in West London in 2009 by frontman and lead singer Justin Hayward-Young and Freddie Cowan. The band consists of Young on vocals and guitar, Árni Árnason on bass, Timothy Lanham on guitar and keyboards, and Yoann Intonti on drums. The band did not release their first album, What Did You Expect from the Vaccines, until two years after the formation of the band in 2011.
The band immediately gained attention from local radio stations and even Clash magazine. They have made a name in the new-wave English rock genre and are still releasing music.
The band has released six studio albums, three live show albums, nine EPs, and ten singles. They have collaborated on music with a plethora of influential bands and joined them on tours. The Vaccines have opened for The Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Imagine Dragons, and more.
Their newest album, Pick-Up Full Of Pink Carnations (2024), was released in January of 2024, and now the band is ready to take it on tour. The Vaccines are set to perform in Chicago at The Vic Theatre on Jan. 24, 2025. Tickets can be purchased now through AXS AXS.com.
