Mxmtoon has announced 2025 North American tour dates. The Liminal Space Tour includes a stop at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, California on Thursday, March 6.
Mxmtoon announced the tour ahead of her upcoming album, liminal space, out November 1 via AWAL. The tour kicks off on February 18, 2025 in Nashville, TN and wraps up on April 5, 2025 in Philadelphia, PA. The 27-date tour includes stops in cities such as Dallas, Seattle, Chicago, Brooklyn, and more. The trek also features mxmtoon’s first set of Canadian performances with a stop on March 11 in Vancouver and another stop on March 31 in Toronto.
Maia, aka mxmtoon, had the career come-up most teen musicians could only dream of. At 17, the Oakland-raised multi-hyphenate artist began releasing music from the privacy of her bedroom and quickly acquired an online fanbase drawn to her earnest yet witty lyricism and no-frills production. Her instrument of choice was a ukulele and she wasn’t above using common household objects (a hair straightener, for example) as a percussive tool. After uploading a stream of one-off singles to various social media platforms, mxmtoon’s debut EP, plum blossom, dropped. It garnered the attention of a broadening fan base with sold out tours and multi Platinum records, but also earned the stamp of approval from mainstream media outlets.
Mxmtoon debuted her first studio album, The Masquerade, in 2019. The record peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard’s US Heatseekers charts. In 2022 mxmtoon released her sophomore studio album, Rising. The indie pop artist is best known for sons such as “Sad Disco,” “Falling For U” and “Prom Dress.”
