The Weeknd has officially unveiled his latest single and music video, “Dancing in The Flames” from his highly anticipated upcoming labrum, Hurry Up Tomorrow. This latest release follows his live debut of his other tracks at his São Paulo concert. At the concert in front of thousands of fans, he performed “Timeless” and “FE!N” joined by Playboi Carti, who also features on the tracks. Additionally, the concert was streamed exclusively on YouTube, trending as the highest music even in the U.S. at that time.

“Dancing in The Flames” is a melancholic track that features The Weeknd’s signature atmospheric production and smooth vocals. Opening with a slightly upbeat techno tune, the song builds a lush soundscape filled with ethereal synths and pulsating beats. Despite the happy melody, the lyrics of the song feature The Weeknd musing about this reckless love he’s currently undergoing, all the push-and-pull and the headrush adrenaline it causes. In a perfect summary, he sings, “We’re dancing in the flames/It’s indescribable.”

The music video, directed by Anton Tammi and shot using the new iPhone 16 Pro, complements the song’s emotional depth with stunning visuals. Straight out of a cinematic action movie, the Weeknd is seen driving a car before getting into a crash as the song builds into it’s chorus. With the cinematography executed by Erik Henrikkson, the later scenes feature the singer looking daunting and emotive as rain pours heavily on him in the night.
