Mötley Crüe is taking over Hollywood! The iconic metal band are returning where it all started. The band has announced three shows at some of the most infamous Hollywood venues including The Roxy, The Troubadour and Whisky A Go Go set to take place this October.
Following excitement of mysterious flyer appearances of shows at the three iconic venues around Los Angeles, Mötley Crüe has officially announced their return to the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. Billed as the Höllywood Takeöver, the band is returning to their roots with three shows at three clubs in which the band first made a name for itself. The intimate shows kick off on October 7 at the Troubadour, followed by October 9 at The Roxy and wraps up on October 11 at the Whisky A Go Go. Mötley Crüe is reviving the ’80s concert experience in its entirety as tickets will only be made available for purchase in-person at each venue’s box office starting Saturday, September 14 at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets are limited to two tickets per person and will be sold at $19.81.
The string of October club shows surround the release of Mötley Crüe’s new EP, Cancelled, which drops on October 4. In addition to the shows, the band will continue the celebrations with a pop-up store featuring exclusive band-curated merchandise. The pop-up opens on October 6 at the Rainbow Bar and Grill located next to The Roxy on the Sunset Strip and will close up on October 12. The pop-up will remain open from 3 p.m. PT to midnight daily. The band has also launched the Mötley Crüe Giveback Initiative in which the band will partner with different non-profit organizations moving forward. To kick off the initiative, the band is offering two tickets to the Troubadour show on October 7 as part of an auction alongside a special auction featuring one-of-one-stage-played collectible instruments played by the band members during each of the three Hollywood club shows. This ongoing auction will benefit Covenant House, a non-profit organization supporting young people experiencing homelessness.
Mötley Crüe formed in Hollywood in 1981 by bassist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee, guitarist Mick Mars, and lead vocalist Vince Neil. The band quickly shot up to stardom not only due to their hard rock sound but mainly due to their insane live performance and unapologetic attitude. Following several separations and lineup changes, Mötley Crüe currently Sixx, Lee, Neil and John 5 who joined the crew in 2022.
