Chicano Batman have announced a pair of intimate shows. The performances are set to take place at the Fox Theater in Pomona on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2.
Los Angeles-based band Chicano Batman announced the two headlining Pomona shows in honor of Dia De Los Muertos/ Day of the Dead, a Mexican tradition of honoring ancestors. The two-night event is the latest addition to the band’s Tanto Arriba Como Abajo 2024 Tour. The tour kicks off on October 24 in Freson, CA and wraps up on November 3 in Ventura, CA. Special guests for the tour include Thee Sinseers & The Altons, Inner Wave, Tropa Magica, and Xiuhtezcatl on select dates.
Chicano Batman is a three-piece band from Los Angeles, CA. Their sound draws from a spectrum of influences ranging from soul, psychedelia, to Tropicalia. In homage to their favorite classic soul groups, the trio uniforms their act in tailored suits with ruffled-tuxedo shirts. Throughout the lifespan of the Los Angeles-bred band, vocalist/lyricist Bardo, guitarist Carlos Arévalo, and bassist Eduardo Arenas have followed their own visionary impulses to tremendous heights—a journey that began with taking the stage at local dive bars and recently saw them co-headlining the legendary Hollywood Bowl.
