Tyler, the Creator was set to headline at both Lollapalooza and Outside Lands this August. Today, the singer has announced that he will be cancelling those performances.
The artist made a statement regarding the cancellation on his social media platforms. On X, he states, “i made a commitment that i can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were. that is not sexy at all. please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. love.”
According to Pitchfork, both festivals have already announced their replacements for Tyler, the Creator. Megan Thee Stallion will be taking his place at Lollapalooza, while Sabrina Carpenter will be filling in as a headliner for Outside Lands.
These recent cancellations do not appear to be affecting Tyler, the Creator’s upcoming festival appearances, however. He will be headlining at Austin City Limits Music Festival this October. His fellow headliners this year include Dua Lipa, Chris Stapleton, and Blink-182.
