St. Vincent at The Met, September 6

Acclaimed guitarist and alternative/indie singer and songwriter St. Vincent is coming to The Met on September 6th for her not-to-be-missed All Born Screaming Tour.

Considered to be one of the best guitarists of the 21st century, St Vincent (born Anne Erin Clarke) released her debut solo album, Marry Me, in 2007. In addition to the seven studio albums she has released since then, the multi-talented St. Vincent has worked on many other projects including having produced Sleater-Kinney’s 2019 album The Center Won’t Hold and co-writing Taylor Swift’s Billboard Hot 100 number-one single “Cruel Summer”. She also directed a segment in the 2017 anthology horror film XX, and co-wrote and starred in the psychological thriller film The Nowhere Inn (2020).

On February 29, 2024, St. Vincent released “Broken Man”, the lead single from her seventh studio album All Born Screaming which was released on April 26, 2024. A second single, “Flea”, was released on March 28, the same day the All Born Screaming Tour was officially announced. All Born Screaming combines a variety of pop, rock, and synth to create a beautiful and experimental album. St. Vincent worked with many notable artists and producers in the making of All Born Screaming, including producer Jack Antonoff, Grammy-winning pianist Rachel Eckroth, and musician and head of the rock band Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl.

The openers for the show are changing between nights, but St. Vincent has announced that the concerts will feature appearances from fellow indie artists such as Spoon, Yves Tumor, Momma, Eartheater, and Dorian Electra.
