Power Trip return with a warm-up show ahead of their appearance at the No Values festival this June. Soul Glo and Spy will accompany the band for a special performance at the Glass House in Pomona, CA on Thursday, June 6.
Power Trip, with Seth Gilmore (Fugitive/Skourge) on vocals, announced they’d be making their official live return at the inaugural festival No Values on June 8. No Values has now announced a couple of California shows surrounding the festival with killer support. Power Trip will headline a warm up show for No Values on June 6 at The Glass House in Pomona, CA, which support from Soul Glo and Spy. Power Trip will play at Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre on June 9, with Soul Search and Mortal Wound. Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, May 3 at 12 PM PT.
Power Trip are a band like no other. Their raw energy, musical proficiency, song structure, rich tones, fierce riffs, persecution and collective attitude has seeded them as one of the most prolific underground staples in the U.S. metal, punk and hardcore scenes. Originating in Dallas, Texas in 2008, the trash band has made a name for themselves. They are best recognized for their 2017 album Nightmare Logic and single “Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe)” which earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance. Things seemed uncertain for the band following the death of their vocalist Riley Gale in 2020. Three years later, the band performed a secret show with Seth Gilmore on vocals and recently announced that they will place several shows in 2024 with Gilmore on vocals.
