Green Day just announced a surprise last-minute show! The performance is set to take place at the House of Blues in Anaheim on Tuesday, March 19.
Punk rock legends, Green Day will be making a special appearance at the House of Blues tomorrow night for an intimate surprise show. The band announced the show this morning on their social media, hours before tickets were released. All tickets are general admission in standing room and can be picked up at the box office from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the day of the show. Special guest Ultra Q will join Green Day for tomorrow’s show.
Green Day will be heading on tour in support of their latest album, Saviors, with openers The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas. The tour kicks off on July 29 in Washington DC and concludes on September 28 in San Diego. The Saviors Tour also features a stop at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium on Saturday, September 14. During the tour Green Day is set to perform their Dookie album and American Idiot in their entirety alongside their new music.
Saviors is the band’s 14th studio album and follows 2020’s Father of All Motherfuckers. The five-time Grammy Award winning band teased their latest alum for nearly two years and released its first single “The American Dream Is Killing Me” on October 24, 2023. Green Day also performed another single “Look Ma, No Brains!” at the When We Were Young Festival ahead of its official release. On New Year’s Eve, the band sparked controversy after performing “American Idiot” on the television special Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, in which the band replaced the lyrics “I’m not part of a redneck agenda” with “I’m not part of the MAGA agenda,” in criticism of Donald Trump.
The surprises continue as Green Day also announced that they will be taking part of the Calabash Festival in South Africa. The festival will take place on January 19 and January 23, 2025. Rock bands such as The Offspring, Fokofpolisiekar will join Green Day who will be headlining the festival for the first time.
