Air at The Masonic on October 2

French electronic music duo, Air, have announced the Moon Safari Tour in celebration of 25 years of their classic album, Moon Safari Rarities! They will be making a stop at The Masonic on October 2.

Air is the Versailles based project of musicians Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoit Dunckel. Formed in 1995, the duo met in college originally playing in another band together and working on remixes for other artists. As Air, the group released their debut album, Moon Safari Rarities, in 1998. The album was an instant success, garnering widespread critical acclaim and commercial success through their debut single and the album’s lead single, “Sexy Boy.”

Following the success of Moon Safari Rarities, Air would go on to release five additional studio albums, however the most recent of which, Le Voyage Dans La Lune, dropped in 2012. The band has remained active since then however, playing live shows and making music as solo acts outside of the Air project.

This new tour is sure to delight fans of their debut project, as the group has promised to play it through in its entirety; the first time they have done so in their entire career.
