Sunny Day Real Estate Announce the 30th anniversary tour celebrating their debut album Diary. The tour includes two shows at The Belasco in Los Angeles on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19.
Settle-based alternative rock band Sunny Day Real Estate is back with new music and new tour dates. The tour kicks off on March 13 in Lawrence, Kansas and concludes on October 19 in Los Angeles, California. The 23-date tour includes stops in cities such as Austin, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, and more.
The band also released their first new song in 10 years. The single titled “Novum Vetus” dates back to 1998, it was originally written during the recording of the band’s third album, How It Feels To Be Something On. Recently, the band brought the single to life, recording and completing the seven-minute track. Sunny Day Real Estate also recorded a live re-record of Diary, which is set to release May 3, 2024.
The announcements were made via an Instagram post in which the band stated, “We couldn’t be happier with the result of how it turned out. Nothing can touch the specialness of our original recording, but this recording in so many ways has its own power and magic that we hope you will enjoy.” Sunny Day Real Estate is Jeremy Enigk, Dan Hoerner, William Goldsmith, Greg Suran, and Chris Jordan.
