Celebrating the anniversaries of their two classic albums Dookie and American Idiot, punk-rock band Green Day will embark on their 2024 stadium tour, The Saviors Tour. The band will perform both albums in their entirety along with their hit songs for the first time on a full-fledged tour, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Dookie, and the 20th anniversary of American Idiot. The North American leg of the tour will stop in Austin, TX, at Germania Insurance Center on September 10th at 5 p.m.
Formed in 1986 in California’s East Bay, Green Day is a punk-rock band celebrated for their energetic performances and influential contributions to the genre. Led by vocalist and guitarist Billie Joel Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt, the band gained notoriety with their 1994 debut album, Dookie. Known for their dynamic sound and socially relevant lyrics, Green Day played a pivotal role in popularizing punk-rock music and subculture in the ’90s and 2000s. The release of their 2004 rock opera album, American Idiot, further solidified their status, earning multiple GRAMMY Awards and a devoted global fanbase.
