Los Angeles rock star Maynard James Keenan will be celebrating his 60th birthday with a huge party at the Hollywood Bowl. Keenan will be joined by A Perfect Circle, Puscifer and Primus on Saturday, April 20 for a major birthday bash with all three bands on stage at the same time.
Keenan, the vocalist of Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, will kick off the festivities with the Sessanta tour starting on April 2 in Boston, MA. The 21-date tour includes stops in cities such as Berkeley, Atlantic City, Morrison, San Diego, and more. The tour also includes an already sold-out date which lands on Keenan’s birthday April 17 in Phoenix, Arizona. The tour was recently expanded with the addition of 14-dates following an overwhelming demand.
According to a press release the shows are formatted in a unique style in which members from the bands will join each other’s performances, yet each band will have a distinct set that rolls continually to the next.“Bands aren’t used to simultaneously sharing the stage with other bands, but if anyone can do it, it’s Primus, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer,” said Keenan.
