According to CBS News, Duane Keith Davis reportedly pleaded not guilty in the Tupac Shakur murder case. He denied being allegedly involved in the alleged murder of the late rapper during his arraignment and has avoided the death penalty. Tupac was allegedly murdered in Las Vegas, where allegations have been made that the late rapper’s alleged murder allegedly occurred between alleged East Coast members of an alleged Bloods gang and alleged West Coast groups of an alleged Crips gang. Duane Keith Davis allegedly was an alleged member of an alleged West Coast Sect.
Claims have been made that Tupac’s murder was an alleged retaliation for an alleged brawl at a Las Vegas Strip casino. The alleged brawl allegedly involved the late rapper and Davis’ nephew, Orlando Anderson.
This past Thursday, Davis awaited the proceeding regarding his alleged involvement in Tupac’s alleged murder. He was with his wife, son and daughter. When the Clark County District Court Judge Tierra Jones asked for Davis’s plea, the latter reportedly responded saying, “Not guilty.” In response to Davis’s alleged plea, Jones said that the prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty in the alleged murder case.
The Clark County District Court Judge also named county special public defenders. The alleged defenders are Robert Arroyo and Charles Cano. Both Arroyo and Cano represent Davis in a taxpayer defense. Davis had previously lost his bid to hire Ross Goodman, his private defense attorney. Two weeks ago, Ross Goodman claimed that prosecutors allegedly did not have alleged witnesses and alleged key evidence relative to Tupac’s alleged murder.
Steve Wolfson, the attorney of Clark County District, made a statement pertaining to the case against Davis’s alleged involvement in Tupac’s alleged murder: “[Davis is] not the kind of case that should proceed with the asking of the death penalty.” Wolfson allegedly declined to allegedly respond to Goodman’s claims of the alleged lack of evidence. He alleges that a jury would discuss the results of the police investigation. A court date is to be set for next week on Tuesday.
Duane Keith Davis was allegedly arrested on September 29 outside of a home located in Henderson. The Las Vegas police served a search warrant on July 17. According to CBS News, Davis is still in jail without bail, did not testify before the grand jury that indicted him and had declined to allegedly speak with The Associated Press.
Prosecutors claimed to the grand jury that Davis allegedly discussed his alleged involvement in the alleged killing of Tupac in his 2019 memoir. Davis allegedly described that he allegedly obtained a .40 caliber handgun and allegedly handed the alleged handgun to Anderson in the back seat of a Cadillac. Anderson denied his alleged involvement in the alleged murder of Tupac and died in an alleged shooting that allegedly occurred in Compton. Both the other back seat passenger and driver died.
Marion Knight Jr, who allegedly took part in Tupac’s alleged murder, has been serving his 28-year prison sentence for his alleged murder of a Compton businessman in 2015. He has yet to comment about Davis’ alleged arrest for his alleged involvement in Tupac’s alleged murder case.
