Emo Orchestra and Hawthorne Heights have teamed up to bring a whole new experience to life performing emo music with a full orchestra. The inaugural performance is set to recreate some fan favorite anthems into versions never heard before. The touring experience includes a stop at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre on Friday, November 10.
For emo music lovers and orchestra aficionados alike, Emo Orchestra is a new live experience that brings some of the most beloved emo songs to the theater stage with a full orchestra arrangement. Along with special guest Hawthorne Heights, the orchestra will elevate songs from bands such as Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and AFI in a way never done before. Emo Orchestra is a perfectly designed tribute to the music that shaped emo fans.
To make things extra special Hawthorne Heights is also opening up the performance for fans to join them on stage and sing Paramore’s “Misery Business” with the orchestra, fans simply have to send a video of themselves singing the chorus and include the date they will be attending the show in an email to Hawthorneheightscontests@gmail.com. The Ohio-based alternative rock band have never done anything like the Emo Orchestra before. Hawthorne Heights is JT Woodruff, Chris Popadak, Matt Ridenour, and Mark McMillon.
In addition to playing emo anthems, Hawthorne Heights will perform their own hits. Each night there’ll be a playbill for the performance that’s designed like a punk rock zine, a VIP experience that includes a meet and greet with the conductor/arranger, Evan Rogers, and Hawthorne Heights, and a copy of the sheet music for Hawthorne Heights’ song “Ohio Is For Lovers” signed by the band. Emo Orchestra and Hawthorne Heights invite you to dress up or dress down for an evening of music that you won’t forget.
