American rock band Boys Like Girls is going on tour for their upcoming fourth album to be released in the fall!
The band formed in the suburbs of Boston, Andover, MA in 2005. Just the following year, they gained mainstream recognition with their self-titled debut album. They were eventually contacted about collaborating with record producer Matt Squire. With this new support, Boys Like Girls went on their first nationwide tour, which was directly followed by them being formally signed to Squire.
Boys Like Girls has been known to tour with very prolific rock/punk artists including Good Charlotte, The Maine, Metro Station, Early Avenue, and Fall Out Boy. After their long stint of touring, Boys Like Girls’ next two studio albums were released in 2009 and 2012. Both Love Drunk and Crazy World were well received, and after these records, several members began to work on solo projects.
After over a decade-long hiatus, the band released the first single off their new album in May 2023. “Blood and Sugar” has supposedly been a project that was started in 2020, that has finally come to fruition.
