Band brings back mind-dazzling noise
Dethklok is a fictional melodic death metal band featured in the Adult Swim animated television series Metalocalypse, which is known for its satirical or parodic lyrical themes. The first official Dethklok album was released on September 25, 2007, titled The Dethalbum.
Now, the band has released Dethalbum IV. As a whole, the album is wonderful as each track features vein-jolting instrumentation sizzling the air with righteous sound while the vocal performance serenades the ears with powerful emotions.
“Aortic Desecration” is a killer composition due to how the guitar playing shakes the backgrounds with vibrating and electric riffs that will cause listeners to headbang along while the music blares from their head phones. On “Aortic Desecration” each guitar shows off their incredible technique and musical talent.
“Poisoned by Food” is another track heavy in elements of metal thanks to the catchy drum playing. While listening, thunderous drums welcome listeners to Dethklok’s crazy work with rhythmic beats that create the feeling of hopelessness, despair and anger.
“Bloodbath is a piece that really shines thanks to the dynamic vocal performance. Throughout the whole thing, the vocals deliver a powerful punch of vengeance. The best part, when the vocalist screams out the lyrics, each shout showcases just how serious the theme is on “Bloodbath.”
“Deadface” dynamically displays a softer side of Dethklok. Sure, the instrumentation is stunning, but what is really special and stands out is how the band adds a melodic noise within the chaos. Each key from the keyboard playing brings more power and insanity, orchestrating how the sound blends in with the heavy metal.
Dethalbum IV is Dethklok’s first studio album in 10 years, and the band have done a great job of creating face-smacking music that shows how much the band has grown throughout the years.
