95.5KLOS Whiplash presents Static-X and Sevendust on the co-headlining Machine Killer Tour. The tour is set to have its final stop on Wednesday, November 1 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, California with special guests Dope and Lines of Loyalty.

The unprecedented forces of industrial and alternative metal icons Static X and Sevendust will embark on a long-awaited trek across the nation, the two nu-metal giants join forces this fall for the Machine Killer Tour. These hard-hitting performers rose to prominence during the early 2000s, but they steadily maintained their influence and proved their longevity. Static X and Sevendust’s continued success is proof that nu-metal is not just a fad but a subgenre with notoriety and longevity. The two bands will be taking over 20 cities on their North American tour. On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, they will make a stop in Los Angeles, California, for a one-night debauchery at the Wiltern. This event includes the opportunity for fans to purchase VIP packages which include limited edition merchandise and more at the Static-x website.

The Machine Killer Tour, featuring Static X and Sevendust, is reported to have taken over two decades in the making. The last time these two bands performed together was 24 years ago, and this 2023, they are making it happen with a nationwide trek. The tour also brings in a special guest, Dope, to hype the crowd before the headliners take the stage.

In 2001, Static X entered the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 11 with their sophomore effort, Machine. The album sold over 500,000 copies in the US, earning the band a gold certification. The breakout album follows the band’s career-defining debut effort, Wisconsin Death Trip, which sold over one million copies in the US. Throughout the band’s almost three decades career, they produced seven critically-acclaimed studio albums, including their latest effort, Project Regeneration Vol. 1 in 2020. Static x is set to release their new album, Project Regeneration Vol. 2, on November 3, 2023. The album was already preceded by the hit single “Terrible Lie,” a cover of Nine Inch Nails’ 1983 single.

Like Static X, Sevendust also rose to prominence during the late ‘90s with their self-titled debut album. The record, released in 1997, made a slight breakthrough when it entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 165 and peaked at No. 5 on the Top Heatseekers chart. But thanks to the album’s iconic singles, “Black,” “Bitch,” and “Too Close to Hate,” – all of which entered the Mainstream Rock Tracks, the band garnered a cult following. Over the years, Sevendust steadily rose in the ranks and entered Billboard’s Top 20 for their subsequent releases until 2015. This July, the band dropped their 14th studio album, Truth Killer, via Napalm Records. The album was preceded by the single “Everything,” which peaked at No. 23 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks. Since releasing their debut single “Black” in 1997, Sevendust has consistently performed well on the chart – totaling over 30 singles.
