According to billboard.com, country singer Jason Aldean was forced to stop and postpone his second show in Hartford, Connecticut on July 15 after suffering heat exhaustion during his performance at the Xfinity Theatre.

An audience member filmed the incident and posted the footage on Twitter.

“#JasonAldean runs off stage at the #xfinitytheatre show in #HartfordCT. Poor guy. It was hotter than hell. It was bad enough just standing in the pit. I can’t imagine performing in jeans, boots, and hat under all those lights in that humidity with no breeze. Hope he’s okay!”

On July 16 Xfinity Theatre went on Instagram to post a statement regarding Aldean‘s postponed show.

“Yesterday’s Jason Aldean show will be rescheduled for a future date. We appreciate your patience as we work on rescheduling a new date, as well as the outpouring of well wishes for Jason. A rep has confirmed he is now doing well after experiencing heat stroke during last night’s performance. Please stay tuned to all social media channels for updates as they become available.”

Also Aldean posted a video message to his fans on social media.

“Thanks everyone for checking in on me. Hartford, we’ll share rescheduled info soon. Saratoga Springs, see ya tonite!”

The country star assured fans  on the video that he is “doing fine. Just one of those things. It was hot, I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show. There was a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion. I’m hearing a lot of stuff going around, ‘heat stroke,’ all this stuff. I don’t think it was quite that serious, but it was pretty intense last night at the show. Anybody that was at the show knows how hot it was.”

Aldean’s Highway Desperado Tour is a 41 city trek that will visit cities such as Cincinnati, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Florida, and St. Louis. Artists Mitchell Tenpenny, Corey Kent and Dee Jay Silver are the guests on the tour.
