Frankie and the Witch Fingers announce their biggest headlining shows yet with the Data Doom Tour. The psych-punk band have released details of their fall 2023 U.S. tour with a stop at Los Angeles’ The Troubadour on Saturday, October 28.
Ahead of the release of their seventh studio album Data Doom, Frankie and the Witch Fingers announced a headlining U.S. tour set for this fall. The 30-date tour will include performances in various esteemed venues such as Warsaw in Brooklyn, The Troubadour in LA, The Blue Room in Nashville, and more. The LA-based band is set to release their upcoming album Data Doom on September 1 via Greenway Records and The Reverberation Appreciation Society.
To ring in the announcement, the band has shared album highlight “Mild Davis” with a mind-bending animated music video. Inspired by Miles Davis’ early-70s electric work, the track’s dizzying 7/4 meter winds through chunky riffs, commanding vocals and proggy synths before crash-landing in a minefield of angular guitar harmonies. Through six progressively expansive albums, innumerable live dates on an ever-expanding list of continents, and performances with the likes of Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall, Cheap Trick, ZZ Top and more, Frankie and the Witch Fingers have earned their throngs of global fans with their ecstatically wild live shows and visionary recordings. With Data Doom, the band is poised to welcome even more uninitiated into the fold as it is their most eclectic work yet, while remaining undeniably cohesive, and they’re supporting it with the biggest headlining shows they’ve ever played.
Frankie and the Witch Fingers celebrate their 10th anniversary this year as the psych rock band formed in 2013. The now LA-based band consists of Dylan Sizemore, Josh Menashe, Nicole “Nikki Pickle” Smith, and Nick Aguilar. The group has gained recognition over the past decade with their high-powered rock n’ roll sound and spirit showcased within their explosive live performances. The band continues to surprise fans by allowing themselves to explore their strange impulses and experiment with their sound.
