Killer Mike is back with a new album for the first time in over a decade! Not only will the Grammy-winning artist release the new album, Mike, this summer but will also head out on tour. The High and Holy Tour includes a stop on Monday, July 31 at the theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, California.
Killer Mike and the Midnight Revival: The High and Holy Tour kicks off July 10 in Birmingham and makes its way across the US, including an appearance at Pitchfork Music Festival and a performance at New York City’s iconic Apollo Theatre, before wrapping up on August 5 in New Orleans. The announcement comes on the heels of his new single “Don’t Let The Devil (feat. El-P & thankugoodsir)”, which alongside other recent singles “Run (feat. Young Thug)” and “TALK’N THAT SHIT!,” previews the scope of Michael (out June 16), a holistic introduction to the totality of Michael Render, a lifelong rap fiend seeped in the sounds of multiple eras of southern rap flows, Sunday church services and barber discourse. Killer Mike has described his upcoming album as an “audio movie that tells the story of a black boy growing up in the deeply religious south.” The High and Holy Tour will feature performances comprising the full album in addition to classic hits from R.A.P. Music, Pledge and more.
The Atlanta-based artist and songwriter Killer Mike, is a part of the popular hip-hop super duo Run The Jewels, who is also heading out on tour with this fall celebrating their 10 year anniversary. Killer Mike and El-P will be embarking on their first headlining tour in nearly six years. The critically acclaimed duo has won dozens of awards and received Grammy nominations for Best Rap Song. Killer Mike won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance Duo or Group for his collaboration with Outkast with “The Whole World . In addition to his successful music career, Killer Mike has acted in several films including Baby Driver, Idlewild and ATL. The artist is also an advocate for disenfranchised, a business owner, and a frequent public speaker on politics, race, and inequality in many communities.
