Stagecoach Day 1 started off with more this year: more stages, more performances, more people in the crowd, more artwork. The eager crowds started off the weekend packing into the grounds to watch their favorite performers. All of the artists & fans survived the 104 degree day with no lack of sweat, but with all the energy that they could muster.

Some highlights of the day were when classic country icon Sammy Kershaw packed the Palomino stage, bringing young and old country fans out to the crowded venue for his performance, kicking it off with his biggest hit “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful.” Another was Elle King performing to a packed Mane Stage, walking out holding her child. She commented that her son was crying and the solution was to bring him on stage with her; which tugged at all the heart strings of parents in the crowd. Luke Bryan & Jon Pardi closed out the Mane stage set, both with massive numbers of hits played and being sung back to them from the crowd. Bryan, who has headlined the festival before, was really feeling the energy of the first day, as his stage act included lots of running and mimicking sexual motions while the crowd went wild.
