South London-based rapper, songwriter, and DJ Shygirl makes confident, energetic pop songs that pull inspiration from post-industrial hip-hop, grime and experimental club music styles. It doesn’t take much to spot her songs. With her fast rhymes and calm voice, Shygirl often collabs with producer Sega Bodega. In building a solid friendship, she was able to co-found the NUXXE label and has also worked with artists like SOPHIE, Arca, Zebra Katz, and many more. Her works include critically praised short albums and singles such as “BB” (2019) and ALIAS (2020). Shygirl progressed into a more melodic direction with singles like “Firefly,” building up excitement towards the release of her 2022 album, Nymph.

A deluxe edition of her last  album,  Nymph_o, was dropped this year, including reworked versions of tracks of said album. Famous contributors included Sevdaliza,  Björk, Tinashe and Erika de Casier.
