Modest Mouse and Pixies join forces for the third and final leg of Pixies’s 2023 North American tour. The co-headlining tour will see special guest Cat Power join the two this summer. The tour is set to run from late-August through mid-September with a final show in San Diego, California.
Following a sold-out 25th anniversary tour in honor of their breakthrough album, The Lonesome Crowded West, Modest Mouse join Pixies on tour. The 20-date tour hits major cities such as New York, Chicago, Vancouver and more before heading to the West Coast for two California shows. The tour will officially conclude on Sept. 16 at San Diego’s Petco Park. This event includes the option for the Modest Mouse VIP Experience, which aside from reserved tickets, fans will see a pre-show performance from the Grammy-nominated artist Modest Mouse, a Q&A and limited edition merch.
Pixies formed in 1986 and are widely known as on of the pioneers of the late 80s alt-rock movement. Pixies Black Francis (guitar), Joey Santiago (lead guitar), David Lovering (drums), and Paz Lenchantin (bass). The band is one of the most acclaimed and influential alt-rock group having influenced hit artists such as Nirvana, Weezer, The Strokes, Radiohead, and many more. The band is beloved for their catchy melodies, eight genre-defining studio albums and “loudquietloud” signature sound. Pixies are also well-known for their unadulterated live performances and are said to perform the classics and new gems during this upcoming summer tour.
