Hip hop super duo Run The Jewels announced a special tour celebrating ten years of their career together. Killer Mike and El-P will be performing four albums in four shows in each four different cities including Los Angeles, California mid-October.
Starting Wednesday, Sept. 13, RTJ will embark on their 10th anniversary tour hitting major cities such as New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. Each city will hold four celebratory shows throughout one week in which the super-duo will perform hits from their four self-titled albums. This will be the duos first headlining tour in nearly six years.
El-P is a Brooklyn-based rapper and producer known for his solo career and time with Company Flow. El-P produced Atlanta-based rapper Killer Mike’s fifth studio album R.A.P. Music. After successfully collaborating and touring together, the two decided to officially form Run The Jewels in 2013. Within the same year the duo released a free download of their self-titled debut record. RTJ has released all four critically acclaimed albums free to download.
Three years following their debut, RTJ won an NME Award for Best International Band and Best Festival Band. In 2018, the group received their first Grammy-nomination for Best Rap Song for their collaborative single “Chase Me” by Danger Mouse with RTJ and Big Boi. Aside from incredible music, the duo has also launched a Run the Jewels beer, beverages and even a branded strain of cannabis.
