Lil Jon is a successful producer and hip-hop musician who has produced for artists such as Snoop Dogg, Fatboy Slim and Pharrell Williams. He was born Jonathan Smith on January 17, 1971, in Atlanta Georgia.
He has been active in the music industry since 1994, releasing several albums under Mercury Records and other labels. His most successful songs include “Get Low” (featuring Lil Jon), “Yeah!”, “Whip It”, “Laffy Taffy”, “Get Over It”, “Bounce”, and many others. Lil John has also released several successful remixes including ones of Jay Z’s song “Ain’t No Nigga”. His hit song “Get Down” peaked at number one on both the Hot 100 chart and R&B chart in 1998. Lil Jon is known for his distinctive style in the hip hop music genre, earning him both critical acclaim and commercial success.
In 2010, he gained some new found fame by collabing with artists that were in the limelight of that time. Some names he’s worked with within the last decade are Dj Snake, Offset and 2 Chainz.
