Originally using the alias Arab Attack, DJ Khaled is a popular producer and DJ of today’s time, who has created 11 studio albums of his own since 2006, including Grateful (2017), which included his first no. 1 single, “I’m the One,” and Father of Asahd (2019). Working as a producer, he’s collabed with huge artists such as rapper Lil Wayne and Jay-Z, pop queens Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, and Justin Bieber, Kanye and Nicki Minaj. As a native of Louisiana, he became president of Def Jam Records South in 2009 and also co-founded the record label We the Best Music Group. The creative genius has also spent some time as a judge on the difficult singing competition tv show, The Four.
After creating his own label, in 2010 Khaled’s single “All I Do Is Win,” featuring Ludacris and Snoop Dogg, went double platinum (2 million records!). He continued to collaborate with big stars and popped out albums, including We the Best Forever (2011), Suffering from Success (2013), I Changed A Lot(2015) and Major Key (2016). The latter gave him his first no. 1 album in his entire career. His tenth studio album, Grateful (2017), became his second album to hit no. 1 and included his very first no. 1 single “I’m the One,” featuring Justin Bieber and Quavo, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne. The follow-up single, “Wild Thoughts,” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, peaked at no. 2. and became a ‘wild’ hit.
