Weezer Surprise Show at the Roxy on March 16

Weezer has announced a local intimate warm-up show ahead of their Indie Rock Road Trip! tour. The alternative rock legends are set to perform an intimate show at Los Angeles’ The Roxy on Wednesday, March 15.

The Grammy-winning rock band is performing a pre-game show ahead of their highly anticipated 2023 tour to test out their setlist on the Los Angeles crowd at The Roxy. The band announced their tour alongside special guests Modest Mouse, Future Islands, Spoon, Momma, Joyce Manor, and White Reaper. The 30-date tour spans from June through September stopping in major cities across the U.S. including Austin, TX, Queens, NY, and Las Vegas, NV. The tour begins on June 4 at Huntsville, AL and concludes on Sept. 3 in San Diego, CA. The tour also includes a stop in Irivine, CA on Sept. 2 at the FivePoint Amphitheatre with special guests Spoon and White Reaper. There is no official LA date in the Indie Rock Roadtrip! tour.

The LA-based band is best known for their commercial successful hits “Buddy Holy,” “Say It Ain’t So” and “Island in the Sun.” The pop rock band formed in 1992 but launched into fame two years later with their self-titled debut album. Weezer is best known for mixing alternative, pop and snippets of hard rock into their sound. Weezer is Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell, and Scott Shriner.

In 2021, the band released two albums OK Human and Van Weezer. One being inspired by baroque-pop and the other by classic rock. In 2022, Weezer released their latest music project a four-EP box set SZNZ, which included EPs inspired and titled after all four seasons. The band has inspired various artists and directly impacted the alternative genre with countless contributions.
