Candlemass returns to Los Angeles with first show in six years. The heavy metal group is set to perform at LA’s 1720 warehouse on Thursday, March 16.
Candlemass announced their West Coast 2023 tour dates. The six-date tour begins in Seattle, Washington on March 10 and ends in San Diego, California on March 17. The short tour also includes stops in Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Several shows of the West Coast tour have already sold-out. Candlemass will be accompanied by Unto Others and Early Moods on their LA performance.
The epic doom metal band released their 13th studio album Sweet Evil Sun in November 2022. The performed several shows throughout Europe throughout 2022 with a few selective shows in the states. The Swedish rock band will now return to the states with a handful of West Cost shows. After the West Coast tour, Candlemass is set to return to Europe for a few festival performances.
Candlemass formed in 1984 in Stockholm, Sweden, The doom metal band consists of Leif Edling, Mats Björkman, Jan Lindh, Lars Johansson, and Johan Lӓngqvist. Candlemass is recognizes as the pioneers of epic doom metal, accredited to defining the genre with their infamous 1986 debut album Epicus Doomicus Metallicus. The band has disbanded, reunited and undergone several lineup changes over the years. They are recognized for their singles “Solitude,” “Bewitched” and “Demons Gate.”
