American rock band Kansas will be touring 50 selected North American cities to celebrate the band’s 50th Anniversary. The band is set to perform at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023.
Kansas’ 50th Anniversary tour will showcase the hits and classics spanning over the band’s entire career. Each show is set to be a two-hour spectacle highlighting fan favorites and deep cuts rarely performed live. Kansas hits the road starting June 2, 2023 in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia stopping at major cities before concluding on Jan. 28, 2024 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The tour includes three California dates including a stop in LA at the Orpheum Theatre. The LA event includes the opportunity for fans to purchase the ‘Point of Know Return’ VIP package which includes a reserved seat, an autographed Kansas photo, a CD set and exclusive tote bag and poster.
The progressive rock band best known for hit songs “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind” formed in 1973. The band released 16 studio albums, the latest being their 2020 record The Absence of Presence, nine of which are certified gold. Kansas has sold over 30 million albums worldwide, performing sold out stadium shows and better yet have been featured in several television and movie soundtracks including Supernatural, South Park, Anchorman and many more.
The band’s current lineup consists of original drummer Phil Ehart, bassist and vocalist Billy Greerm vocalist and keyboardist Ronnie Platt, violinist and guitarist David Ragsdale, keyboardist and vocalist Tom Brislin, and original guitarist Richard Williams. Kansas remains a fixture of classic rock and continues to influence various artists.
