The Dresden Dolls have announced that they will be playing four runs of tiny club shows across the US. The duo will kick things off in Denver, CO with three shows on May 19,20 and 21 at the Ophelias Electric Soapbox. Each city they plan to visit will be announced one at a time, with dates for those to come in the next Fans will need to sign up for the band’s email list in order to purchase tickets. Special links will be sent out to fans that have signed up on Monday, March 13, with a public on-sale set for Friday, March 17. The group last did three shows in Woodstock, NY last year, which was their first outing in 15 years.
In 2021, Amanda Palmer stated that the Dresden Dolls had a new album in the works. She revealed that they had initially planned to release it in 2020 with a tour to follow in 2021 but was put on hold due to pandemic. “I daresay, when that album comes out, it will be the best thing we have ever created. we are ready after everything we have been through, to take what the dresden dolls can MANIFEST to a whole new level” Palmer said in an Instagram post.
