The Avalanche Park x Ed Balloon concert series will kick off on Thursday, Feb. 23 with a free show at WisdomeLA in Downton Los Angeles. Featuring performances by JPEGMAFIA, Clipping., Ed Balloon and Witch Prophet, the inaugural event will highlight music from raw and underground culture while stamping it on the Avalanche blockchain. The immersive event will offer a new way to experience music through web3.
The first-of-its-kind event series, conceptualized by musician and NFT artist Ed Balloon, will demonstrate how Web3 produces an openly creative environment and allow fans to consume music through raw, personalized IRL experiences. Balloon sought to create a diverse culture within the Web3 space when developing the series. The lineup is curated by Balloon who also takes part as a performer. The electric lineup includes boundary-pushing artists such as JPEGMAFIA, Clipping, and Witch Prophet, all of who have taken hip-hop to another level of excitement. Grammy’s NextGen artist of 2023, Jeleel, has recently joined the lineup and is set to give a sneak peak of his forthcoming tour at the Avalanche Park concert series.
Partnered with blockchain platform Avalanche and ticketing portal Moongate, Balloon brings his trailblazing idea to life. Attendees are set to receive a free “Avalanche Park” NFT upon arrival. The NFT is said to unlock unique experiences at the event including a raffle via MynaSwap for a pair of rare shoes from Cool Kicks. The NFT will also allow fans to exclusive priority access to RSVP, VIP or raffles for meet and greets and unique merch.
WisdomeLA is an immersive art and entertainment park showcasing technology, VR, film, fashion, and performances. The 30,000 sqft campus features geodesic domes with 360-degree projection capabilities and stages to showcase the featured artists’ performances. This appears to be the perfect venue for Ed Balloon’s envisioned concert series, soon to come to life.
