Kenny Loggins has announced his final tour! The “Footloose” icon is hitting the road for a final tour with dates throughout 2023. The King of the movie soundtrack is set to perform at the YouTube Theatre for a final Los Angeles show on Friday, Oct. 27.
With an over four-decades career, Kenny Loggins is heading on his final tour. Known for his smash hits and Hollywood’s favorite soundtracks, the icon bids farewell with a 11-date tour stopping at cities such as Jacksonville, New Orleans, Vienna, and Inglewood. Loggins will be accompanied by special guest Yacht Rock Revue for his final show at Inglewood, California. Starting at $354, fans can purchase VIP packages for the show which includes access to exclusive soundcheck performance with Loggins, group photo, signed vinyl, “Footloose” VIP merch and more. More dates and cities are anticipated for Loggins’ final tour.
Loggins began his songwriting career at 7 years old, later becoming one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time. His early songs were recorded with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band including the hit “House at Pooh Corner.” Alongside John Messina, Loggins released seven albums. Loggins’ 1977 solo debut album, Celebrate Me Home, includes “I Believe in Love,” a song he’s written for Barbra Streisand to perform in A Star Is Born. The hit songs continued as Loggins went on to write several songs for movie soundtracks including Caddyshack’s “I’m Alright,” Footloose’s theme song “Footloose,” Top Gun’s “Play With the Boys,” and more.
In 2010, Loggins formed the country trio, Blue Sky Riders, with Gary Burr and Georga Middleman. The Emmy and Grammy Award winning artist has received several humanitarian awards for his philanthropic and humanitarian work which ranges from environmentalism, hunger relief and an extensive commitment to children’s causes. After 12 platinum albums, Loggins recently released a memoir titled Still Alright, where he details his life and career as one of the most noteworthy musicians of the ‘70s and ‘80s.
