The Joy Formidable At The Garden Amp On June 1st

The Joy Formidable are heading back to the states for a single show in California for 2023 as of yet. The group is set to stop at Garden Grove’s Garden Amphitheatre on Thursday, June 1st.

The Welsh trio set off on their world tour in June 2022 celebrating their fifth studio album, Into the Blue, released in August 2021. The alternative rock band recently closed out the U.S. leg of their tour and are set to kick off the U.K. tour in March 2023. Following the end of their world tour, The Joy Formidable is set to return to the states for one-night only with a show in June at the Garden Amphitheatre in Garden Grove, California.

The Joy Formidable was formed in 2007 and currently consists of vocalist and guitarist Rhiannon “Ritzy” Bryan, vocalist and bassist Rhydian Dafydd and percussionist Matthew James Thomas. In 2011, the trio released their debut album, The Big Roar, receiving favorable reviews and peaking at No. 8 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart.

The Joy Formidable is known for their infectious personalities and energetic live performances. Some of their most known singles are “Whirring,” “Little Blimp” and “Entapes,” which was featured on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’s soundtrack. The and is also known to blog about their adventures while one the road and host acoustic pre-shows on selected tour dates.
