Tino Piontek was born in Dresden, Germany in 1980 and began making music and visiting nightclubs as a teenager. In 2005, he made the move of releasing his own tech-house and electro-house tracks as the stage name Stereofreak or Stereofunk. He then ditched those names and established himself as the Purple Disco Machine project in 2009. This new production was more inspired by the olden days as Piontek added more disco elements to his music than his earlier works. The project released singles on labels like Klang Gymnastik and Gris Musique before OFF Recordings-issued “My House” became a club hit in 2013.

Since becoming a DJ, producer, and remixer Tino Piontek’s Purple Disco Machine stage name has attained club and radio success with its contagious, groovey blend of house, disco, funk, and the synth pop genres. First influencing the club universe with underground successes like 2013’s “My House,” Purple Disco Machine dropped his full-length album named Soulmatic (2017). He finally reached the mainstream audiences with a 2020 European chart hit “Hypnotized” which included a collab with Sophie and The Giants. To top it off, he remixed popular songs for superstars like Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue, Elton John, and others.
