Producer, songwriter, and DJ, Gryffin will be performing at NOTO Philadelphia on Friday, December 9th. The musician is known for his melodic house style EDM music. On stage, the performer uses guitar, keyboard, synths and drum pads in his DJ sets.
The producer grew up in the San Francisco suburbs. Gryffin started as a classically trained pianist, then learning guitar. He studied at University of Southern California specializing in EDM, tropical house and future bass. The artist gained recognition from remixing popular songs of artists like Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” Maroon 5’s “Animals”. He started releasing original music in 2016 with his first release being an unofficial house remix for John Newman. Gryffin’s single “Remember” was his first on the Billboard Dance Club chart.
Reaching over 100 million streams, the artist has continued collaborations with several artists to achieve charting singles including “OMG” with Carly Rae Jepsen, “All You Need to Know” with Calle Lehmann and Slander and “Baggage” with Gorgon City and Aluna George. So far Gryffin has only 2 studio albums. His debut full-length album Gravity was released October 2019. His latest album Alive was just released November 4th and reached No. 3 on top dance/electronic albums chart.
