The Chainsmokers are performing at LIV on December 2nd.
The electronic producer/DJ duo featuring Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, are known as the Chainsmokers who mix indie, dance, and pop into world-wide hits that have transpired into no less than ten multi-platinum singles. The pair released their first single as a duo in 2014, a number one dance hit called “#Selfie” that teased the excessive use of being absorbed in self image in a fun way.
“Don’t Let Me Down,” followed in 2016, which became certified about five-times platinum. “Closer,” featuring Halsey on vocals, also hit the top during the summer of 2016 and remained there for 12 weeks, surpassing the previous releases by going 12-times platinum. In 2017, Taggart and Pall crossed over from EDM to include more pop and indie rock, but their ability to remain platinum never faltered with singles including 2017’s “Something Just Like This,” featuring Coldplay. Their full-length debut album, Memories: Do Not Open, reached number one on the Billboard 200. In the beginning of 2018, the Chainsmokers released one single a month, later collected on Sick Boy (2018) and World War Joy (2019). After the duo’s work on 2020’s Words on Bathroom Walls, they scored a place on the Top 40 with 2022’s “High” from fourth set So Far So Good.
