Muse & Evanescence at United Center on Feb. 25

The revolutionary rock artists of Muse and Evanescence are coming to Chicago in 2023. Prepare for a musically explosive show on Feb. 25 at the city’s United Center. Their Chicago show marks one of the first 2023 dates of Muse’s Will Of The People Tour.

The Will Of The People Tour, featuring Evanescence, is titled after Muse’s latest work. Their 2022 album Will Of The People came out in August with singles released throughout the year: “Won’t Stand Down,” “Compliance,” “Will Of The People,” “Kill Or Be Killed” and hit track “You Make Me Feel Like It’s Halloween.” Earning outstanding commercial success, the English band’s Will Of The People topped charts around Europe and performed well on U.S. charts.

Evanescence’s most recent release is their 2021 LP, The Bitter Truth. The band published an EP in 2020, titled Songs From The Bitter Truth with the following tracks: “Wasted On You,” “The Game Is Over,” “Use My Voice” and “Yeah Right.” The Bitter Truth did well on both U.S. and European charts.

Hailing from England, Muse consists of three core members: lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Matt Bellamy, drummer Dominic Howard and bassist Chris Wolstenholme. They are known for their signature sound, a stunning fusion of rock and electronic music. In 1999, Muse produced Showbiz as their debut studio album.

Since Showbiz, a majority of their LPs have received platinum certification from the U.S. and U.K. Successively released every three years from 2006, Muse’s especially popular albums include Black Holes and Revelations, The Resistance, The 2nd Law and Drones. In addition to positive commercial reception, Muse won Grammys for The Resistance and Drones, both in the Best Rock Album category.

Fronted by vocalist Amy Lee, the gothic rockers of Evanescence premiered Fallen as their first studio album in 2003. Fallen remains one of their most popular albums to date, featuring hit singles such as “Bring Me To Life” and “My Immortal.” These tracks later appeared on the group’s 2017 album Synthesis, revamped as electronic and symphonic pieces. “Bring Me To Life” snagged Evanescence a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance, in addition to their win for Best New Artist. The band is also known for their certified-platinum 2006 record The Open Door, which topped charts in the U.S. and internationally.
