A press release from the festival has advertised a lineup featuring artists from Armenia, Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Norway, Pakistan, Philippines, Scotland, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Ukraine, and Wales.

Featured artists at the upcoming event include the American rapper Armani White, K-Pop outfit Balming Tiger, American post-punk band Algiers, French duo Ladaniva, English electronica producer Max Cooper, Spanish singer-songwriter Núria Graham, Japanese punk-rockers Otoboke Beaver, Mexican fusion act Son Rompe Pera, British R&B musician Yazmin Lacey, Japanese beatboxer and musician Yogetsu Akasaka and a long, long list of others.

SXSW 2022, taking place in March, was the first installment of the annual festival held in person since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. SXSW 2020 and 2021 were both held virtually, fact which led to the festival being sued due to their no-refund policy.
