‘The Nutcracker’ with Dudamel: Tchaikovsky & Ellington at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on Dec. 3

Gustavo Dudamel and Los Angeles Philharmonic are ready to bring the holiday spirit this December with a special rendition of the infamous The Nutcracker. Dudamel is set to conduct the holiday favorite with a twist at the Walt Disney Concert Hall with four special shows from Dec. 3 through Dec. 18.

For the first time in nearly a decade, Dudamel is set to lead The Nutcracker in concert with the LA Phil. The program consists of Selection from The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky and the reimagined The Nutcracker Suite of the Russian Romantic Tchaikovsky, Duke Ellington, and Billy Strayhorn. Dudamel and LA Phil will be accompanied bby Los Angeles Children’s Chorus and Artistic director Fernando Malvar-Ruiz.

Dudamel last led The Nutcracker in concert with the LA Phil in 2013, it was described by the Los Angeles Times’ Mark Swed to be “irresistible” and “reinvigorated.” This year’s event is set to feature everything from “Sugar Plum Fairies” to “Sugar Rum Cherries” and many more classics.

Join Dudamel and LA Phil for their special Holiday performances this December. This series consists of four shows from Saturday, Dec. 3, Sunday, Dec. 4, Wednesday, Dec. 14, and Sunday, Dec. 18. Tickets are available on laphil.com.
