The Cult is currently on their fall 2022 tour, traveling across North America. The tour is winding down to an end with several California dates, including a stop at the Greek Theatre on Sunday, Oct. 9.

The Cult, is set to perform in Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre on Sunday, Oct. 9 alongside three special guests, the LA three-piece Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, King Woman and Skeleton Joe. The band is touring in honor of their upcoming eleventh studio album, Under The Midnight Sun, set to release on Friday, Oct. 7. This album was remotely recorded for two years during the pandemic. The album follows their 2016 record, Hidden City.
The Cult has released two tracks as a sneak peak to their upcoming album. The singles “Give Me Mercy” and “A Cut Inside” have been praised by many, referring to them as strong hits for what awaits with the new album. The band is known for their hardcore punk and pseudo mysticism influences and their hit single “She Sells Sanctuary.”
The band formed in 1983 in Bradford, England. The Cult’s lineup has changed through out the years, especially following their various hiatuses. Lead singer Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy are the band’s long-serving members, they are now joined by bassist Charlie Jones, keyboardist Mike Mangan, and percussionist John Tempesta.
