The Smashing Pumpkins have been making waves because the band announced they will be releasing a 33 track rock opera album titled Atum. The record will be a  sequel to the band’s 1995 record Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and 2000’s Machina/The Machine of God album.

On the IHeartPodcast Series “Thirty-Three with William Patrick Corgan” the vocalist will reveal an excerpt of an unreleased track from Atum over the next 33 weeks. Also the upcoming record will be a vinyl boxset that features 10 additional unreleased songs.

In light of the news about The Smashing Pumpkins’s new album Atum, the band has released the song “Beguiled.” The tune sticks to band’s rock roots by how each riff and drum beat shows how The Smashing Pumpkins have not lost their touch with rock music. Also Billy Corgan’s vocals sound amazing by how his smooth voice sings the lyrics. The band have not lost their touch in the music world.
