Scene Queen is currently on her Bimbo U.S. Tour with the support of Holy Wars. The eight-date tour involves a stop in West Hollywood, California on Sunday, Sept. 25 at The Roxy Theatre and includes special guest performer Sophie Powers.
Scene Queen is celebrating the release of her debut EP Bimbocore with her first U.S. tour. The tour was originally meant to begin with the LA and San Francisco dates, however both dates were postponed as Scene Queen fell ill. Both dates were moved to the end of the tour instead with the promise from Scene Queen of special guests and surprises for fans. As promised, the LA show will include a special guest indeed, Sophie Powers, an alternative pop artist who has collaborated with Sleeping With Sirens’ vocalist Kellin Quinn.
Scene Queen is a singer-songwriter known for creating the style “bimbocore,” a feminist themed subgenre of metalcore. Scene Queen blew up on the social media platform Tik Tok and released her EP Bimbocore late April 2022.
The LA-based singer self-released the single “Are You Tired?” before being signed to Hopeless Records in 2021. After reflecting on the rock industry, Scene Queen created the subgenre “bimbocore.” The genre blends hyperfeminine aesthetics with metalcore vocals and distortions. Her song “Pretty in Pink” includes screamo vocals and nursery rhyme melodies with touches of pop.
