The 1975 are set to release their fifth album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language, on Oct. 14 followed by a North American tour. The band is set to kick off on The 1975 AT Their Very Best North American 2022 Tour this fall starting Nov. 3 in Connecticut through Dec. 17 in Pennsylvania. The 1975 are set to make a stop in Los Angeles on Nov. 28 for a concert at the Kia Forum this fall.
The 1975 has been teasing a new album via social media and mail sent to fans. Following the release of the first single “Part of the Band” from the new album, the record was officially announced. Their fifth album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language, is set to be released this fall on Oct. 14 via Dirty Hit and now is accompanied by a fall North American tour.
The English pop rock band formed in 2002 in Cheshire, England. The group consists of lead vocalist Matty Healy, guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel. The band worked their way up to stardom from playing together in a high school band to performing in major stadiums around the world. The 1975 are best known for their hit songs “Happiness,” “Robbers” and many others.
Their self-titled debut album topped the charts in the U.K. and launched them to worldly success, later topping the charts in several countries with their second album, I Like It when You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It. The 1975 have gained traction for their innovative and genre-bending sound mixing pop tock with electronic music, new wave and many distinct sounds.
The synth-pop band has also announced a U.K. tour set for January 2023 to follow the fall North American tour. The 1975 are expected to perform some beloved hits and of course new music from their upcoming album.
