The Pumpkin King, Danny Elfman, is set to return this Halloween for a two-day special at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 28 and Oct. 29. Elfman is set to recreate his Coachella 2022 performance and expand it with more additional Boingo songs and songs that have never been performed live.
Following the release of his album, Bigger Messier, the remix of his second solo studio album, Big Mess, Danny Elfman announced two shows at the Hollywood Bowl, just in time for Halloween. Via social media, Elfman broke the news of the two-day special recreating his Coachella 2022 performance and promising to expand the set with songs never before performed live. Of course, Elfman is also set to perform some Oingo Boingo favorites, more of his film score highlights and new music from his latest album, Big Mess.
Danny Elfman is famously known for his frequent work with director Tim Burton, but most popularly known for his role as “The Nightmare Before Christmas” Jack Skellington’s singing voice. Elfman has written musical scores for 17 Tim Burton films and various film franchises and television series such as “Men in Black” and “The Simpsons”.
Elfman founded the new wave band Oingo Boingo in 1979. The band became vastly known for their high energy live performances and on-stage experimental mixes. Nearly 27 years after the dismantle of the band, Elfman continues to keep the Oingo Boingo spirit alive by incorporating some fan favorite songs within his live performances. Earlier this year, Elfman surprised fans with an smokingly fit body but also kick ass set at the Coachella 2022.
