Machine Head has shared a new music video for their song “No Gods, No Masters”. According to Blabbermouth, the track is off of Machine Head’s tenth studio album, Of Kingdom and Crown, which is out now via Nuclear Blast/Imperium Recordings.

Robb Flynn, frontman of the band, said this of the video: “We’re really proud of the video for “No Gods, No Masters”. It was an incredible collaboration between three different creative teams working across two different continents. Our director/editor Mike Sloat teamed up with the amazing Grupa 13 and then the stunning 3-D CGI came from Phil Radford a.k.a. MayaGuy of Strangebox. The track was masterfully mixed by longtime Machine Head collaborator Colin Richardson and his engineer Chris Clancy. This is a really special song from the album.”

As a testament to this collaboration, the video is a work of beauty – full of special effects shots which include a rendered fetus alongside imprisoned men desperately seeking to escape their cells. The concept plays homage to Attack on Titan while also crafting an idea on its own – that of two lovers, Ares and Amethyst, as they navigate a post-apocalyptic future world where the sky is always crimson red.

Machine Head has some fantastic videos with high concept lyrics. Their song, “UNHALLØWED” also of the album Of Kingdom and Crown, is great example of some of their music and visual sensibilities. Machine Head has also gone through some changes in its lineup recently. Former drummer Dave McClain recently declined to state why he left the band, stating that fans did not need to know why he parted ways with them.
