X Ambassadors and This Fiction Music present A Night Benefiting Reproductive Rights with live performances in Los Angeles at the Troubadour on Monday, Aug. 22. This event is in support of The National Network of Abortion Funds and features acoustic performances from Grandson, UPSAHL, Corook, Rosie and more.
Last month, X Ambassadors announced the benefit show via the band’s social media. “We envision a world where all people have the power and resources to care for and affirm their bodies, identities, and health for themselves and their families — in all areas of their lives,” said the band on an Instagram post announcing the benefit show. X Ambassadors has teamed up with This Fiction Music to create an incredible lineup for an incredible cause. All proceeds from the show will go directly to The National Network of Abortion Funds.
The full line-up includes X-Ambassadors, Grandson, UPSAHL, Jensen McRae, Corook and Rosie. All artists are expected to perform acoustic sets and have expressed their excitement via social media to play part of the benefit show.
Fresh off their Summer 2022 Tour, X Ambassadors return to Los Angeles. The pop rock band are most recognized for their hit songs “Jungle,” “Renegades” and “Unstready.” The band has been vocal of their philanthropy in the past with benefit shows and donations supporting Planned Parenthood, the ACLU and LGBTQ organizations. Following the benefit show in LA, X Ambassadors will embark on their UK 2022 Tour in late September.
Grandson is a rap rock and alternative rock artist that first gained traction with his hit single “Blood// Water.” Grandson has collaborated with major artists including Vic Mensa, Steve Aoki, Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda and many more. For the past several months, Grandson has been extremely vocal about his political views and advocating for reproductive rights and his support for safe and accessible abortion. Needles to say, Grandson is quite excited to join X Ambassadors in the LA benefit show.
A Night Benefiting Reproductive Rights includes many new artists such as UPSAHL, Jensen McRae, Rosie and Corook. UPSAHL is a new up and coming artist who just last year released her debut album, Lady Jesus. The 23-year-old has written songs for Dua Lipa, Madison Beer, Sofia Carson and more. The pop rock artist will embark on her first ever headlining tour this fall with dates across North America and the U.K. Jensen McRae released her debut album, Are You Happy Now?, earlier this year. The 24-year-old indie folk artist has caught the attention of Rolling Stone, Nylon, NPR and more major publications.
