Slipknot is coming to Austin, TX on September 27th

Heavy metal band Slipknot is coming to Austin. The band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, consists of nine members.  The members of this group hide their faces behind scary masks and identify themselves numerically.  The band will bring its spooky vibes to the stage next September 27th at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.

Slipknot’s roots go back to the mid-90s. The band’s self-titled debut was released in 1999 on Roadrunner Records. After a year of constant touring and word-of-mouth, the record was certified platinum. The band wanted to be completely different. Bassist Paul Gray, Percussionist Shawn Crahan, and drummer Joey Jordison had a clear vision for the band and wanted to differentiate it from any other Des Moines music band. Member of the band, Taylor has the ability to not only scream with a maniacal tone of voice but also spit lyrics at a mile-a-minute pace and sing like a choirboy sometimes all in the same song making him a particular special asset to the band.

The group developed its music by combining thrash metal with industrial, funk, speed, hardcore, and hip-hop elements and lyrics fueled by confusion, anger, fear, and disillusionment.

If you are a big fan of metal you can’t miss this event. https://www.boxofficeticketsales.com/5187928/
