Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts have commenced their North American 2022 Stadium Tour, selling over a million tickets. The extraordinary lineup of 1980s legendary rock bands have over 35 shows across North America, including a stop at the SoFi Stadium on Aug. 27 in Inglewood, California.
The world’s most iconic rock bands are finally hitting the road together for the North American 2022 Stadium Tour after a delay of two years. The tour was originally about 30 shows but has recently expanded with the addition of five more shows due to fan demand. The ‘80s rock icons are set to perform their most electrifying acts and stadium anthems.
Founded by Nikki six, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Vince Neil, Mötley Crüe is best recognized hedonistic lifestyles and wild live performances which quite literally light up the stage. Their debut studio album, Too Fast for Love, released in 1981. Their latest and ninth studio album, Saints of Los Angeles, released in 2008 and earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance. In 2011, Mötley Crüe joined Poison for a tour celebrating Poison’s 25th Anniversary. In 2015, Mötley Crüe performed their Final Tour, announcing in 2017 that the band was done. However, in 2019 the band released new singles and announced a reunion tour with a coheadline with Def Leppard and Poison.
Both Mötley Crüe and Joan Jett originate from Los Angeles, California. Joan Jett and Def Leppard have earned the high achievement of being inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Mötley Crüe has earned a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Joan Jett and the Black Hearts have remained quite active over the years and has released a new album, Changeup, their first acoustic album which features the hit songs “Bad Reputation” and “Crimson and Clover.” Def Leppard has also released a new album this year, their 12th studio album, Diamond Star Halos, is their first release in seven years.
