American punk rock band Gogol Bordello has shared a new song entitled “Forces of Victory.” The song is accompanied by an energetic live performance music video and features Ukrainian poet Serhiy Zhadan and electro-folk band Kazka.

The band continues to blend Romani cultural music with elements of rock and punk. The new song is another tribute to the Ukrainian people who are still fighting off the Russian invasion that took place back in late February. The music video follows a live performance of the song cleverly interspersed with footage and pictures of Ukrainian citizens and soldiers. The photos capture both moments of hope and desperation, from scenes of destruction and anguish in the faces of victims to the triumphant and rebellious smiles in the faces of survivors. There is a particularly powerful scene in which the band members chant in English “I can go on, I will go on”, a battle cry and salute to Ukrainian forces.
